Architecture That Belongs To Its Place
Three projects, three landscapes, and what each one asked of the building.

Hillside, courtyard, street
Villa Sora steps down a terraced slope. Noma House turns inward to a garden. Atelier Forma keeps the long shed it inherited. None of these forms were chosen in advance; each came from the ground it sits on.
Working this way takes longer at the start and saves time later, because the big decisions are settled by the site rather than by preference.
Letting the place lead
A useful test is to imagine the building moved somewhere else. If it would still work unchanged, it probably is not finished.
Belonging is quiet. It shows in how a roof meets the horizon, how a path arrives at a door, and how the building looks after ten winters.
