Inside Our Material Library
A look at the shelves where most of our projects quietly begin.

A room full of samples
One wall of the studio is given over to stone, timber, metal, plaster, and glass, collected from quarries, mills, and workshops we have worked with.
Samples are kept at a size you can hold and weigh. Seeing a material is only half of knowing it.
How we use it
Early meetings often happen at the library table. Clients handle the options, place them side by side in daylight, and the palette is usually clear within an hour.
We also keep weathered samples, left outside for a year or more, so that everyone can see how a material will look once the building has settled in.
